Our dining room had several layers of wallpaper that had then been painted over with plaster walls underneath.
g r o a n For this project we needed professional painters. We chose Colorwheel Painting. They tackled the tedius task of wallpaper removal and restored our walls to an immaculate finish. The walls were perfectly smooth. All of the wonderful woodwork was prepared and painted to perfection. Their entire staff was wonderful to work with and kept us up to date on the status of the project every step of the way. Their prices were very, very fair and the quality was exceeded our expectations. We were so pleased, we had two more rooms painted!

Michael Madson and the guys at Colorwheel did a great job for us. We have a 2 -story Victorian/Arts-and-Crafts house on the East Side with wood siding. The house had not been painted for 15 years and the exterior was in poor shape. There was a lot of wood to paint, and we also wanted to change the color of the trim from black to white. Michael was extremely professional courteous, responsive, and truthful. Of the five estimates I received, Colorwheel's estimate was the least costly by $3,000 (and, in one case, by $10,000!). The foreman for the job, Tate, was also an excellent carpenter and was very personable and responsive to our requests. The job required some diplomacy with our neighbor, as Colorwheel's crew needed to set up ladders in his yard to get at one side of the house. Colorwheel did a good a job of communicating with the neighbor and a potentially tense situation was averted thanks to Colorwheel's willingness to be sensitive to the neighbor's concerns. Since the house was painted, the house underwent one of Milwaukee's worst winters ever, and the paint job still looks great. We're very grateful to Colorwheel and recommend them enthusiastically."

I left a message for Michael in mid-May to get an estimate for painting the exterior of my home. He called me back the same day, saying he was standing in front of my house, as he had been driving through the area. He assured me he could handle the job, and we agreed to meet to discuss details. He showed up at my house the next day and explained a range of options. He submitted a thorough estimate via email. When I had questions about the estimate, he responded via email within a day. When I told him that his price was considerably more than my other estimate, he agreed to "split the difference." We agreed on a range of starting dates, and the crew arrived within that range, working daily from 8-4. The crew chief kept me informed during the process. The workers were professional and efficient. They completed the project within the timeframe that we had set. I had a wonderful experience with Colorwheel and would strongly recommend them."

"COLORWHEEL rescued us from a difficult situation. We had been abandoned after 80% of the job was completed by a contractor who was to paint and repair the exterior of our house The company that originally did the work is now in Angie s List s Penalty Box because of what happened. Even though this is a very busy time for exterior painters, Colorwheel's owner Mike Madson had compassion for our situation and made time for us so we could get our house completed. They completed a long list of things that needed to be done to finish the job. They found things out of sight that had not been done by the previous contractor and took pictures to document these problem areas. They painted and repaired things at very high places other contractors were reluctant to deal with. Colorwheel communicated clearly through the whole process and did a very professional job in all respects.
We had an excellent experience with Colorwheel in every respect. They are heros in our eyes! We have decided to hire them for a second job and recommend them very highly to others."
